WHY THIS WATCH
Known by some as the perfect, everyday wristwatch, the Rolex Datejust, introduced in 1945, revolutionized wristwatches with its automatically changing date function. As Rolex's flagship model, it showcases the brand's innovation and elegance. The Datejust's Oyster case, waterproof and robust, houses the perpetual self-winding movement. Renowned for its versatility, the timepiece remains a symbol of prestige and timeless style.
The Rolex Datejust 162220 was introduced in the late 1980s and introduced a sapphire crystal and a brand new calibre 3135. Many collectors consider the introduction of the sapphire crystal as the end of the vintage Datejust era. So many collectors loved the warm hugh of the acrylic and it bends and plays with the light. Others see the sapphire as necessary progress. As sapphire has a hardness second only to a diamond, these crystals are nearly scratch free forever (though we have seen some scratch, it's harder to do so). The calibre 3135 introduced a full balance bridge and upped jewel count, and added 8 hours of power reserve. Note that the previous generation calibre 3035 already had the quick-set date function, so that's nothing new. The addition of a sapphire crystal, alongside the calibre 3135 makes these watches absolute tanks that will run forever and look good in the process.
With reference 16220, the second digit '2' indicates that the watch features an engine-turned bezel. Engine turning, also known by its French term, guilloché, is a decorative method that involves mechanically engraving a complex and recurring pattern onto a material using a specific machine. While Rolex has ceased the production of engine-turned-bezels, discontinued models featuring this style can still be found in the pre-owned market. Visually similar to the more common fluted style, engine-turned bezels exhibit a series of ornamental grooves engraved around the perimeter. The ref. 16220, with its more refined profile and now-discontinued bezel, possesses the vintage appeal that Rolex enthusiasts crave—while still maintaining the impeccable performance of a timepiece fresh from the assembly line.
The Rolex Datejust 16220 utilizes the automatic caliber 3135, a highly reliable and accurate movement. Introduced in 1988, it boasts 31 jewels, a 28,800 beats-per-hour frequency, and a 48-hour power reserve. The caliber 3135 features a quickset date function and a free-sprung balance wheel, exemplifying Rolex's dedication to precision and innovative engineering.
The Rolex Datejust is often described as the perfect every-day wristwatch, and I find no fault with this statement. On the wrist, this watch is Neo-Vintage perfection. This is the perfect Datejust for someone who wants a more vintage feeling watch with modern features. The old jubilee bracelets just fit so magically, especially for those with smaller wrists. This is such an easy watch to wear, and I can pull this watch off with almost any attire. The 16220 might not speak to the vintage crown as much as it's older siblings do, but the sapphire crystal and bullet-proof movement make this an everyday watch that can take a beating.

The Rolex Datejust 16234 was introduced in the late 1980s and introduced a sapphire crystal and a brand new calibre 3135. On the wrist, this watch wears a touch large, due to its thickness and diameter. I can still pull it off on my average 6.5-inch wrist, but there's no forgetting it's there! Tag really did a good job with the movement on this watch. The finishing is really high quality, and the feedback on the pushers is quite nice. Overall, I would say this is a standout offering from Tag and a great everyday watch for those with larger wrists.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
This watch was worn very sparingly and is in fantastic condition with the full set of Box and Papers. Case and bracelet are Near Mint, around 95%.

To some, the 16XX Datejust is the quintessential vintage Datejust. The 16XX was introduced in 1959, with the introduction of the calibre 1560/1570, and ran for a staggering 20+ years, until the seventies. These watches are characterized by the warm acrylic crystal and "pie-pan" "stepped" or "sloped" dial. This nickname comes from the resemblance of the dial to an upside-down pie pan. This gives the dials of these references a very 3-dimensional look. Since radium was banned in 1963, you'll actually see radium dials with dagger hands-on early models, and tritium on models post-1963. The 16xx has become a favorite of vintage collectors due to its special pie-pan dial, warm acrylic crystal, and timeless jubilee band.
With reference 1603, the last digit '3' indicates that the watch features an engine-turned bezel.
The Rolex Datejust 1603 houses the automatic calibers 1565/1575, which feature 26 jewels and a frequency of 19,800 beats per hour, respectively. This includes an instantaneous date-change mechanism and a free-sprung Breguet overcoil hairspring, ensuring accuracy and durability. Note that it is common to spot '1570' on the Datejust calibre even though that would indicate the absence of a date mechanism. This is because the 1570 main plate was shared across different movements.
On the wrist, this watch evokes a lot of the vintage appeal that makes older Rolexes so popular. This factory Rolex dial has aged to a beautiful dark grey tone. The warmth of the acrylic crystal gives this watch a different look and feel than the references that came after. The pie-pan gives the watch a 3-dimensional look, similar to that of the Speedmaster stepped dials. The gorgeous USA-made factory Rolex jubilee bracelet is more rare than other variants and fits like a glove.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
This watch was serviced by Rolex in 2017 and comes with the service card and Rolex travel pouch pictured. The dial has aged to a beautiful darkish grey hugh. The case is in overall excellent condition, with some very light wear on the case, around 9/10. The factory USA bracelet has some light stretching, and is in overall excellent condition, around 8/10. The watch will fit up to a 7.2-inch wrist.

The watch's chronograph functions, slide rule bezel, and 42-hour power reserve add functionality, making it an exceptional timepiece.
The Caliber 25B in the Breitling Bentley A25362 is an automatic, high-frequency, 38-jewel movement. This Swiss-made caliber offers a 42-hour power reserve, 28,800 vibrations per hour, and COSC-certified chronometer status. Its advanced functionality includes a 1/8th of a second chronograph, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, and a calendar feature, ensuring precision and reliability.
On the wrist, this is a very large and heavy watch. I'm very surprised that it fit on my wrist, despite its 48mm size. This is a testament to the well-thought-out ergonomics which have resulted in a remarkably comfortable watch to wear. Besides the beefy wrist presence, the real star of the show is the dial. This a very clean and legible dial with a really cool tachymeter scale.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
The watch is in fantastic condition with light wear on the case and bracelet. I would give the bracelet and case a 9/10. The movement is running strong, keeping good time, and the chronograph resets to zero. The watch has enough links to fit an 8-inch wrist. The watch comes with all that you see in the pictures, including warranty paperwork, a chronometer certificate, and a travel box.

With 25 jewels, it offers a 44-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The Calibre 75320 also includes a chronograph function, day-date display, and small hacking seconds, ensuring practicality and accuracy for wearers.
This is a real sleeper watch that should get more attention than it does. The first thing that stands out when wearing this watch is that it's not a very thick watch for being a chronograph. The 13.5mm thickness is very refreshing. It's also under 50mm lug to lug so it'll fit pretty well on even smaller wrists. I would say this wears like a 41 or even a 40mm watch. The case design and pushers have a very unique, almost Italian style. The watch can be easily dressed up and down depending on the strap. Overall a fantastic watch for the money, it's no wonder this watch has been a staple of the IWC collection for a while now.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
The watch was barely worn and is in Near Mint condition with only very minor surface wear. I'd give the case 9.3/10. The movement is running strong, keeping good time with no issues whatsoever. The watch comes with the original IWC warranty card from 2017. It comes on the original IWC leather strap, with a factory IWC buckle. The strap was barely worn and is around 9/10. Since then, the Speedmaster has been part of every manned U.S. space mission, including the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project and the Space Shuttle program. Boasting anti-magnetic properties up to 15,000 gauss, this METAS-certified caliber ensures excellent precision and reliability. The Calibre 3861 has 26 jewels and a 50-hour power reserve.
The Speedmaster is a classic for a reason. This is my ultimate go-to tool watch that I can wear almost every day (on different straps!) and use to time almost everything. The watch wears deceptively well for 42mm. I love the way the legendary twisted lugs look on the case. This watch was meant to be legible in space so imagine how legible it is at the office. They don't change the look of these watches very much year to year. This model has some slight differences from the older model, including the step dial, and a few other elements, but overall this watch is going to age like a vintage Porsche. Best tool watch ever?
THE LITTLE DETAILS
This watch was purchased in 2022 from an Authorized dealer and comes with everything you see in the pictures including the Box, and Warranty Card. Note that this is the strap-only model, and does not come with the metal bracelet. The watch has been worn very sparingly by its original owner and is in overall near-mint condition, with only very light wear on the case. I would say the watch is overall 93-95%. Comes with the factory Omega strap and factory buckle. The strap was worn around a dozen times only and still has the majority of its life left.

The T401 ensures precision and durability, making it a fitting choice for the Ranger 79910's adventurous and rugged tool watch character.
The simplicity and legibility of the dial really shine through with this watch. I love the old-school dial with the Tudor Rose symbol at 12. This is a great everyday field watch with a really comfortable bracelet and an old-school look.

WHY THIS WATCH
The Cartier Tank Francaise, introduced in 1996, is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Cartier Tank, which dates back to 1917. The original Tank, designed by Louis Cartier, was inspired by the geometric lines and symmetry of WWI military tanks. The movement is designed for durability, ensuring consistent performance in this elegant, sporty timepiece.
I really enjoyed wearing this watch despite it being quartz. There's something about that classic Roman Numeral Cartier dial that is so timeless. I would say this watch wears like a 36-38mm watch, though that's not an entirely apt comparison because of the case shape. I will say most ladies also really enjoy wearing this watch as it fits their wrist as well. An overall fantastic watch that's on the dressier side, with a chronograph and a date complication.
