WHY THIS WATCH
If precision German watchmaking is your thing, it doesn't get any better than the Lange 1. What sets this Lange apart from the others are the colors. There is so much contrast here between the blue sub-dials, the black outer-dial and the gorgeous green strap. This is one of the most attractive dial/strap combinations we have ever seen.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
This watch was worn very sparingly. The case has very little wear, around 95%. The strap still has tons of life left, around 80%. Comes with Outer Grey Box, inner Blue leather box, and instruction manual. This watch has been inspected by our watchmaker for authenticity and proper functioning.
WHY THIS WATCH
IWC has a long history of making fantastic Pilot's watches, and it's probably what they are best known for. The 3706 was introduced in 1994 and ran through 2005. My favorite thing about this watch is hands down the bracelet. This watch IS the bracelet. The rice beads of stainless steel make the watch wear very ergonomically despite it's 14.6mm thickness. This particular version has the German-Day wheel.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
The watch comes complete with box and papers, including warranty card (dated year 2000). Includes the 2 pin pusher tools for adjusting the bracelet. Bracelet comes with all links. Valjoux 7750 running strong, with all sub-registers resetting to zero. Case is in excellent condition around 85%. We have not polished the case as most owners prefer this watch unpolished.
WHY THIS WATCH
This JLC comes with a nifty GMT function. When the crown is pulled out to the first setting, it adjusts the hour hand independently so you can quickly adjust it to the time zone you just arrived in. A second hour hand, hiding behind the main hour hand, maintains the original time, so you will always know your home time zone at a glance. As you adjust the time backward or forward, both the date & AM/PM indications will update. If the Hometime function doesn't impress you, the fact that this is a gorgeous Reverso will. I often found myself wearing this watch with the movement showing, the spin of that automatic rotor is really majestic. The finishing on this Calibre 977 is top notch, as anyone who is familiar with JLC knows they make some of the best movements.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch is stainless steel. Case is 35 mm x 41 mm and 13 mm thick. Comes on an aftermarket brand new black strap. Comes with JLC Deployment clasp. No box no papers. Movement is running strong with no issues.
WHY THIS WATCH
TThe Fifty Fathoms name comes from the original watch that dates back to the middle of the 20th century during the great dive watch race among major watch brands of that era. With a clean dial, the overall design of the Fifty Fathoms focuses on simplicity. This is a divers watch after all and we don't want too much distraction. My favorite detail of this watch is the bezel. Blancpain chose to stand out by using curved sapphire on the bezel instead of ceramic. The sapphire is curved, which is a very time consuming process. It's probably one of the nicest dive bezels I've seen. Blancpain uses it's in-house made caliber 1315 automatic movement for the Fifty Fathoms. The 1315 is a fantastic in-house option, and has a surprisingly long power reserve of five days. Another detail I liked about this watch is the overall package. You get a sturdy Pelican case which can be used for secure transport. The Fifty Fathoms Automatique reference. 5015-1130-52 retails for $14,500.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Case is 45mm and 15.5mm thick. This watch was worn very sparingly, with only very light wear throughout. Case is around 90% with most scratches on the back. Canvas strap is also in great condition with minor wear, around 80-85%. Movement is running strong with no issues. The watch comes with the outer black Blancpain box, inner Pelican (Blancpain) case, instruction manual from Blancpain. Also comes with a certificate of authenticity from Capetown Diamonds. Watch is guaranteed authentic.
WHY THIS WATCH
This 45mm watch is a real miracle worker on the wrist. Because of a combination of factors, including the thin case (13mm), and tapering lugs, this is a watch that can fit comfortably on any wrist. The real stars of this show are the dial and strap. Mirror polished gold hands give a gorgeous warm glow and make the watch very legible. The strap is the result of IWC's partnership with Santoni, the shoemaker. Beautiful brown strap with the trademark Santoni orange on the underside. The IWC 59210 movement keeps ticking away for 8 days, so you'll only have to wind this once a week.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch is Near MINT around 95-97% with no significant marks. Strap has been worn only a handful of times and is around 95%. Comes with genuine IWC box. No papers, as they were misplaced by the own. Guaranteed genuine IWC.
WHY THIS WATCH
This lady's Rolex Datejust really stands out with it's factory diamond bezel and factory mother of pearl dial. Executed in white gold, this watch has the perfect amount of heft to it.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch is in overall Near Mint condition around 93%, with only minor surface wear. Diamond bezel and Mother of Pearl dial are Rolex factory. Watch comes with box and papers, including Rolex certificate from 2006.
WHY THIS WATCH
This Aquatimer has everything you'd expect from IWC, with a few notable stand-outs. The bezel is sapphire, and has lume applied to the 20-55 markers. Being sapphire the bezel has a really nice sheen (think fresh jolly ranchers). Also notable is the Quick Change Strap System, which allows you to change the strap in a few seconds without special tools. Calibre 79320 based on the tried and true Valjoux.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch is in overall excellent condition. Case is around 90% with only minor wear, no deep dents or gashes. Sapphire crystal is clean and free from scratches. Comes with box and papers, including a stamped warranty card (un-dated). Note: The loop for the rubber strap has been replaced by a generic black look (see picture with buckle).
WHY THIS WATCH
No doubt a controversial offering from Tudor, as some have called it the "Diving Daytona" as this watch combines both racing and diving style elements. While the styling is a bit controversial, we can all agree that this watch is a great value proposition. For the money you're getting an in-house movement, Calibre MT5813, which is entirely free sprung, and has a 70 hour power reserve. The dial of the Black Bay abandons the busy 3 subdial arrangement for a more symmetrical 2 sub-dial configuration. This watch won the 2017 Grand Prix D'Horlogerie De Geneve "Petite Aiguille" or "Small Complications" award. No doubt that you are getting a lot of watch, along with a sturdy bracelet for the money.
THE LITTLE DETAILS
Watch Retails for $5,050. Watch is "like new". Case is around 98-99%. Bracelet has never been worn, and still has the stickers intact. Comes with box, and tag. Warranty card and papers were misplaced by owner. This watch is guaranteed 100% genuine Tudor.
